FARIA Renewables expands its portfolio with the acquisition of a 23.1 MW Wind Farm in Boeotia, Greece

Thessaloniki, October 29, 2026 — FARIA Renewables has taken another strategic step in expanding its presence in the Greek renewable energy market through the acquisition of the company “KADMEIOS ANEMOS ENERGIAKI SINGLE-MEMBER SOCIETE ANONYME,” a subsidiary of EDP Renewables, which owns a wind farm with an installed capacity of 23.1 MW in the Regional Unit of Boeotia, Greece.

The wind farm has already been energized and has been operating on a trial basis since July 2026. It comprises four Nordex N149 wind turbines and is expected to generate approximately 75 GWh of electricity annually. The wind farm is connected to the Hounis Extra High Voltage Substation (EHV) through an underground medium-voltage network with a total length of approximately 14.1 kilometres.

A 10-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) has been signed with METLEN, which will also undertake the representation of the wind farm in the electricity markets. The agreement enhances revenue predictability and establishes a more stable framework for the long-term value realisation of the investment.

The acquisition was financed by Alpha Bank, with legal support provided by Sardelas Petsa Law Firm, further strengthening FARIA Renewables’ presence in the Greek RES market.

The agreement between EDPR and FARIA Renewables also includes the additional acquisition of a second wind farm in the same geographical area, with an installed capacity of 35 MW, which is expected to be energized during 2027.

Ms Thalia Valkouma, CEO and Chairwoman of FARIA Renewables, stated: “The addition of these wind farms to our portfolio marks another significant milestone in FARIA Renewables’ growth strategy and reaffirms our commitment to consistently investing in projects that deliver substantial energy and investment value. Through this acquisition, we are achieving even greater diversification of our energy portfolio, creating long-term value through a coherent energy strategy, while actively contributing to shaping the energy system of tomorrow, with sustainability, flexibility and resilience at its core.”
